6 Ways your Oral Health Affects Your Overall Health
Your oral health can reflect more than you think about your general health state and in the mean time, poor oral health can cause chronic health complications.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that many of the risk factors for other serious health conditions l like excessive alcohol consumption, poor or imbalanced diet and smoking also pose a threat on the well-being of your mouth.
Keep yourself protected and learn how oral health can affect the rest of your body.

1- Oral Health and Cardiovascular disease.

Gum inflammations have been linked in several studies to higher risks of heart disease and stroke. That is because gum inflammation increases the inflammation levels in the entire body and raises the risk of cardiovascular disease
According to the Canadian Academy of Periodontology people who have periodontal disease are at a greater risk of heart disease and twice as likely to get a fetal heart attack in comparison to those without periodontal disease.

2- Oral Health and Diabetes.
While it is known that diabetes patient are prone to suffer from gum diseases. Studies reveal that conversely serious and prolonged gum disease can contribute to diabetes.
The Canadian Diabetes Association explains that periodontal disease is caused by bacterial infection, that bacteria release toxins which affects the way carbohydrates are being metabolized in the cells.
It is also thought that the reaction to periodontal bacteria causes insulin resistance and consequently blood sugar levels.

3- Oral Health and Lung Infections.

Since periodontal disease is essentially bacteria breeding in the mouth, people with the condition are more likely to have bacteria traveling to their lungs and causing lungs infections like pneumonia. For those who are having an existing lung condition like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) gum disease can make it worse.

4- Oral Health and Pregnancy.
Studies showed that pregnant women with progressive gum disease are more at risk of pregnancy complications like gestational diabetes, preterm spontaneous delivery or low birth weight.
Regular check-ups with a dentist become even more crucial during pregnancy since pregnant women are more susceptible to teeth and gum disease and infections more than other women.

5- Bruxism and Joints Pain.
Bruxism (teeth grinding) happens during sleep or at any time of the day and in most cases it is mild. However when it becomes more frequent and sever the lower jaw joint can get aggravated. This can cause tightness and aches while chewing. Related complaints can also include headaches and earaches.
Bruxism has its impact on your teeth too; this habit can wear down the enamel layer of the teeth, increase tooth sensitivity and even lead to broken or chipped teeth.

6- Tongue Hygiene and Germs.
The small little bumps covering the surface of your tongue are called papillae, those bumps form a great environment to harbor germs of all types. In fact a study by the University of Michigan’s School of Medicine says that, one third of the different bacteria species on people tongues don’t grow on any other surface in the mouth.
Trapped germs on the surface of the tongue for a prolonged time can cause bad breath, throat infections, impact the sense of taste and the bacteria can even reach other parts of the body through the bloodstream anytime the gums bleed.

Hip Flexor Pain, How to Relieve and Prevent it.

9:31 AM Add Comment

Hip pain is one of those undeniable problems that could impact your mobility and make you feel as if you were 95 years old.
But that tight throbbing sensation at the top of your thighs every time you take a step is not a unique nonagenarian complaint.

If your hip pain is unbearable anymore, you could be spending long periods of time sitting in your car or on your desk which puts your hips in constant "flexion" position as  Cori Lefkowith, NASM-certified personal trainer and owner of Redefining Strength in Orange County, California says.

If you are spending prolonged periods of time sitting, the flexors in your hips (the muscles that stabilize the joints) become overactive and create that tight sensation your feel.

This reaction could very likely be the cause for your lower back pain or knee pain. It is also why your hips hurt more than your abs after core workouts.

- How to Tell if your Flexors are Overactive.

The main telling sign is hip pain but if your hip flexors are tight you could also experience pain in your lower back.

There are two main hip flexors: psoas and the iliacus," says Lefkowith.
The psoas connect your thighs to your spine, if they get shorter, they would be pulling your hips nearer to the spine and your spine nearer to your hips hence the pain.

Furthermore, you may be slightly out of alignment as result to tight flexors which causes your hips to work harder than they would if you are doing specific physical activities like abs workouts (set ups or leg lowers).

On the other hand shortened hip flexors cause the hamstrings and glutes to stretch and become harder making certain moves not as smooth and often accompanied by pain.

Running for example puts significant stress on the front side of your body making your knees work harder and feel tighter.

- How to Prevent Hip Flexors Pain.

The best way to avoid hip flexor issues is to listen out for what your muscles are trying to say to you.
Often times we push through pain and put excessive stress on the muscles without being aware that some pain could be a natural response to workout and some pain can be alarming of possible injury.

So if you are doing abs workouts and you started feeling more pressure on your hip muscles than needed, burning sensation and tightness could be a sign you are actually doing more damage to your hips than good to your abs.

The other way you could prevent flexor pain during and after workouts is by prepping your muscles first.

- Foam Rolling.

Foam rolling before your workout can prep the muscles and inhibit the reaction of the overactive flexors.
Take two minutes relaxing your muscles and releasing the tension by rolling over a foam roller or a lacrosse and instead of rolling fast, take it slow and press on the areas that feel fight.

- Dynamic Stretches.

Stretches is your next key but not just any stretches, you want to practice stretches that engage your entire joint in a gentle way.

What is Heat Stroke and How to Recognise Its Symptoms.

1:53 AM Add Comment

What is heat stroke?

Heat stroke happens when the body is exposed to uncomfortable levels of heat for prolonged periods of time while lacking sufficient hydration. When the body temperature steadily rise, the body loses more fluids and salts through preparation, the pulse becomes weak and fast and breathing becomes irregular.
If those symptoms are not treated fast they can progress to a deadly condition known as Heat Stroke.

There are two types of heat stroke.

-Traditional Heat Stroke:

This type happens gradually and affects young or elderly people who's bodies are unable to regulate its core temperature.
People who live in places that are not air-conditioned may also be at risk for heat stroke if they don't have other means of cooling their bodies down when they need to.
In these cases the person may fail to recognise heat exhaustion because their body temperature would be steadily rising over several hours or days.

- Exertional Heat Stroke.

This type is more sudden and occurs in people who practice high physical activities in high temperatures like construction workers or athletes.
With the physical exersion, we produce an incredible amount of heat, usually the sweating helps to cool the body down and brings it back to safe temperatures, in cases of exertional heat stroke, this cooling process doesn't happen as expected which causes the internal body organs to heat up so much, cells in the intestines may become to get damaged at temperatures of 104, 105 F degrees and leak toxins into the bloodstream which causes multiple body systems to fail.

- Common Symptoms of Heat Stroke.

1. Increased Body Temperature.

If you measure your body's temperature and it is 103 F degrees or more you could be experiencing heat stroke. However if you experience other symptoms of heat stroke or are uncomfortable, you should try all possible ways to cool down your body or seek medical help since thermometers may not always be accurate. Oral measure for example may show to be 100 F degrees while the internal body temperature is dangerously higher.

2- Excessive or no Sweating at all.

If you spend prolonged periods of time in elevated temperatures, your body may stop trying to regulate its core temperature such as in the case of traditional heat stroke, your body's temperature will rise gradually and steadily and eventually get in heat stroke, in this case you may not experience sweating. However, with exertional stroke you may experience excessive and profuse sweating.

3- Confusion and Trouble Balancing

With exertional heat stroke, the nervous system may start to malfunction causing causing a series of symptoms like inability to keep a balance during walking, answer questions, be irritated or aggressive.

4- Pounding Headache.

Pounding jeadach is often a sign of dehydration that comes with heat stroke or it could be a sign of the effect heat is having on the central nervous system.

5- Dizziness, Nausea or Vomiting

As you body is heating up and becoming more and more dehydrated, you body organs will be under stress which result in symptoms like dizziness, nausea or vomiting.

6- Elevated Heart Rate and Accelerated Breathing.

When your body is under the amount of stress heat i s having on it, it starts to work harder particularly your heart to pump more blood to get the natural cooling system to work harder which could cause fast pulse and breathing.

- How to Help Someone Having Heat Stroke.

If you suspect someone is going through heat stroke make sure to move them quickly to a cooler place.
Get then to drink oral rehydration solution if possible or just cold water.
Fill up a bath of cold water with added ice pieces and let them soak in it for 15 minutes.
If the bath tub is not available wet the whole body with cold water and pour bottles of ice water around the stomach and head.
Get medical help as soon as possible while trying to cool down their body.

This Contact Lenses Mistake Can Blind you or Seriously Damage your Eyes.

2:03 AM Add Comment

Many of us can often forget that we have our contacts in, especially on long tiring work days. Sometimes on your lunch break you feel to lay down on the couch and close your eyes for 20 minutes or so only to wake up and remember that you had your contacts in all the time.
So could that cause your eyes any damage?

- Can You Nap With Contacts in?

If you are taking a quick 20, 30 minutes nap then you should be fine, however you will need to freshen up your contacts when you wake up with their special solution so they don't get dry and don't get used to sleeping with your contacts in as with time this can cause eye troubles.

The point is that your eyes constantly need oxygen to remain healthy and when you sleep and your eyelids are closed the amount of oxygen your eyes are getting is limited, having your contact lenses on will further reduce the oxygen your eyes are getting which can make your eye cornea swell.

How To Reduce The Risks Associated With Napping With Contact lenses on?

You can consult your eye doctor to prescribe you the extended wear contacts, these are made to be worn for longer periods of time including sleeping and napping. Depending on the type of contacts, these can be kept in for 24 hours up to 30 days, you can be safe to sleep with these contacts but make sure to have eye drops nearby.
Make sure your contacts are high quality and from a reliable source according to a prescription and make sure to have a cleaning routine for your contacts as recommended from the manufacturer and allow your eyes to rest for a while without the contacts in. If your contacts are designed to be worn for a week then allow your eyes to rest without the contacts on the eighth day.
If after the first nap or with several naps you feel dryness and irritation, remove the contacts quickly and explain the situation to your doctor.

Can You Sleep Overnight With Your Contacts?

You might as well wonder if you can sleep at night with your contacts in, well you shouldn't do that as there are studies that prove an increased risk of eye infection by 15 % if you sleep with your contacts.

So What If You Forgot And Fell Asleep With Your Contacts?

If you wake up and realize that you have forgotten your contacts in before you fall asleep then remove the lenses as soon as possible and give your eyes about a day to rest without the lenses, if the lenses are fresh then just soak them in their special solution overnight and if they are old then just toss them.
If you feel your eyes are dry and irritated try using fake tears drops but if you are experiencing blurred vision, redness, pain, tears or light sensitivity seek help from your doctor right away.

What To Do If You Often Sleep With Contacts In.

If you can't resist the urge to sleep and often forget your lenses in then it will be better to switch to extended wear contacts which are safer to sleep with than others, they allow more oxygen to get to your eye and prevent cornea swelling.

There are some types of lenses such as Air Optix Night and Day and Pure Vision are approved by the FDA to be worn for up to 30 days and they should be tossed after the 30 days, however despite the fact that they are safe to be kept in for the 30 days it is still advisable to remove them at least once a week to let your eyes rest.

Other types like Air Optix Aqua, Biofinity and Acuvue Oasys have the FDA approval to be kept in for as log as 6 nights before your eyes should get a rest so they are optimal for people that remove their contacts every night but forget them in occasionally.

But even if the contacts are approved for extended use that doesn't mean that different people may still experience irritations sleeping with them in, as there are several variables that come into play such as the extent of lens dehydration and the composition of tears.

So make sure before switching to contacts for extended use to consult your doctor if these contacts are recommended to your individual needs.

How Colon Cancer Develops and How to Lower Your Risks.

4:01 AM Add Comment

Colon cancer or also known as colorectal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer leading to death in the world, in fact it is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. Colon cancer develops when a polyp in the inner lining of the rectum or colon becomes malignant. Luckily colon cancer can be prevented by monitoring the developments of precancerous polyps. When not detected early enough it can be a life threatening condition.

- How to Prevent Colon Cancer.

You can have a good chance of recovery by early discovery of precancerous polyps. Additionally, you can take steps to lower your risks of such growths in the colon by following these tips.

1- Pay Attention to Your Weight.

After smoking, being obese is the most major risk factor of cancer, obese people have higher risks of developing 11 different types of cancer including colon cancer. Ideally, you should weigh as much as you used to weigh when you were 18, unless you were obese then, the goal may be hard to achieve at first, but you should start by stopping gaining anymore weight and then you can make out your way with diet and exercise to start losing weight and reach your ideal body weight.

2- Quit Smoking.

If you are a smoker, consider quitting in the nearest time possible. Quitting smoking is like doing your body a great favor, smoking puts you at risk of 14 different types of cancer including colon cancer.

3- Avoid Drinking.

It would be ideal if you stop drinking alcohol at all, but even limiting your consumption of alcohol can still help a great deal to lower your risks of several diseases like colon cancer. Women shouldn't consume more than one drink a day while men should limit their consumption to two drinks a day or less.

4- Get More Vitamin D and Calcium.

Not getting enough of vitamin D and Calcium can also increase your odds of colon cancer. You should aim to get 1000 mg of calcium and 1,000IU of vitamin D a day. If you are obese or of a darker skin complexion make sure to get your vitamin D levels tested regularly.

5- Limit Your Intake of Red meats.

Studies found that red meats consumption is not good for the health of the intestines. Having a diet that primarily consists of red meats as well as other processed, salted, smoked and cured meats like sausages, hotdogs, bacon can put you at an elevated risk of developing colerectal cancer. Ideally, you shouldn't consume more than two 4 ounces of lean cuts of red meat per week.

Can Laxatives Help You Lose Weight Fast and What are the Side Effects Expected.

5:18 PM Add Comment

Many people consider using laxatives to lose weight fast.
But can laxatives really help in weight loss and are there any concerns regarding the safety of this approach?
In this article we will show you how safe it is to use laxatives to lose weight and whether or not laxatives can really be effective for weight loss.

What Are Laxatives?

Laxatives are medications designed to stimulate bowel movement or loosen up stool to help it pass easier and painlessly.
Besides treating constipation, laxatives have become a popular fix for a quick weight loss.
Many people started using laxatives believing that by increasing the frequency of bowel movement, they can lose weight effortlessly in a short space of time.

But can laxatives really help in weight loss? This is another point we are going to look through later on the article.

There are different types of laxatives which are.

Stimulants Laxatives: they work by speeding up the work of the digestive tract.

Osmotic-type Laxatives: these cause the colon to retain more water which allows for a more frequent and softer bowel movement.

Bulk-forming Laxatives: these pass through the digestive tract undigested, absorbing water and adding bulk to the stool.

Lubricant Laxatives: these laxatives help to coat the putter surface of the stool as well as the intestinal lining allowing for easier bowel movement.

Saline Laxatives: these help to draw more water to the small intestines allowing for an easier bowel movement.

Stool softners: these allow stool to absorb more water so the passage can be easier and less painful.

Laxatives Can Help You Lose Water Weight.

Using laxatives has become a very popular method to lose a few pounds in a short time, in fact some studies estimated 4% of the population are involved in laxatives abuse.

While it is true that you can lose some weight using laxatives, the results are usually temporary.

As we mentioned above, some laxatives work by using the water stored in your body cells to soften stool allowing for an easier passage, with this type of laxatives the only weight you will lose is water weight and you will not enjoy the results for long.

One study looked at daily eating habits and food choices for 30 patients with bulimia nervosa, a type of eating disorder where patients eat large amounts of food then either self-induce vomiting or use laxatives to prevent weight gain.

Compared to other methods these patients used, laxatives use was shown to be ineffective in controlling body weight.

In short, there has been no studies supporting laxatives use as a valid way for sustainable weight loss.
On the other hand, laxatives abuse can lead to serious side effects like electrolyte imbalance, dehydration and dependency.

Using Laxatives Can Cause Electrolyte Imbalance.

Electrolytes are substances dissolved in your bodliy fluids and they are essential for your body cells to function properly.

Electrolytes include magnesium, potassium, chloride, sodium, phosphate and calcium.

If these electrolytes are not in balance, symptoms like seizures, coma and mental confusion can be experienced.

Laxatives abuse may cause imbalance in these electrolytes which is a very dangerous side effect of abusing laxatives.

Common symptoms of electrolytes imbalance include, headaches, increased thirst, muscles pain, dizziness, weakness, fatigue and heart palpitations.

Using laxatives Can Cause Dehydration.

Among the most common side effects of using laxatives is dehydration.
That is because many types of laxatives work by drawing the water stored in your body cells to the small intestines which then get lost with bowel movement.
If you are not mindful to make up for the lost fluids you could experience dehydration.
Among the common signs of dehydration is dry skin, reduced frequency of urination, dry eyes, lack of saliva, fatigue, headaches and dizziness.

Using Laxatives Can Cause Dependency.

Although it was shown to be uncommon through some researchs, some people actually worry that using stimulant laxatives for the long term can cause tolerance or dependency, where you can't have a bowel movement without taking laxatives.

Other Possible Side Effects Of Laxatives Abuse.

Gastrointestinal Damage: one study found in patients who recovered from anorexia a change in their gastrointestinal function as well as long term pancreatic damage all resulted from former laxatives abuse.

Kidney Failure: another study found that abusing laxatives led to kidney failure.

Liver Damage: one study reported that using laxatives caused liver damage in one patient.

7 Daily Habits Damaging Your Brain.

4:47 PM Add Comment

Your bring is foggy, you can't concentrate on what is going on and you feel tired and drained out of energy. You can feel this way sometimes especially when you do certain activities like not getting enough sleep, waking up early or not eating anything until lunch time. The reason you feel that way when you do certain activities is that you are forgetting to take care of an essential part in your body, your brain.
Everything you do in your life has an impact on your body and brain, certain activities can prevent the brain from functioning in a normal way and even worse damage its structure. Repeating those activities on regular basis for years and years can multiply the damage that happens to the brain.
If you know the activities that can damage your brain, you can avoid them and follow healthy habits instead in order to give your brain the beat chance to function at it's best, so we listed below the most common daily habits that can be damaging your brain.

1- Skipping Breakfast.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that is because it has a direct influence on your energy level, endurance, mood and performance.
During your sleep, your brain gets subjected to a long fast so in the first few hours of your day, you will need to supply it with the needed nutrients and fats to carry on managing the phsycological processes. Not providing your brain with the needed energy it will have to make extra efforts using the reserves which will cause you to feel tired, not focused, bad mood, loss of concentration and memory and poor mental and intellectual performance.

2-Consuming Refined Foods.

Consuming too much refined foods like white sugar, white flour, fried and packaged foods while lacking sufficient levels of healthy nutrients and fiber can elevate the toxins in the body which in return can negatively affect all the body processes and functions making you tired all the time and your brain is overwhelmed.

3- Not Getting Enough Sleep.

You need 8 hours of sleep per night in order to allow your brain to rest for a proper metabolic process to take place the during the day and produce the needed energy for you to carry on your daily activities. Depriving yourself of sleep won't only make you lacking energy and in a bad mood the following day but will accelerate the rate of which your brain cells die in the short term.

4- Being Exposed To Contamination.

The brain needs a constant supply of oxygen for it to function properly, being exposed to contaminated and toxic substances can disrupt the process of processing and delivering oxygen to the brain cells, without sufficient oxygen delivered to the brain cells can lead to reduced brain efficiency.

5- Alcohol Consumption.

Alcohol can damage all your body organs and particularly the brain, heart and liver. Alcohol impacts the chemical reactions that take place in the nervous system and too much alcohol consumption can lead to killing neurons and reducing the speed of which nerve impulses are transmitted.

6- Covering Your Face While Sleeping.

Covering your face while sleeping concentrates the amount of carbon dioxide while reducing the amount of oxygen your brain is receiving, in result, your brain cells can get damaged.

7- Smoking.

Smoking reduces the oxygen supply to the brain, it was also proven that smoking increase the risks of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's.
Moreover, the heterocyclic  amines that are released while smoking cigarettes interferes with the reproduction of DNA causing mutations that can lead to cancerous cells.

Physical Side Effects of Coffee that will Blow you Away.

5:49 AM Add Comment

Coffee is one of the most popular and widely consumed beverage around the world. Most of us like to start the day with a lovely Caffeine jolt to get the necessary push to keep going. Most of us enjoy coffee and don’t consider any health concerns with drinking it. However there are several side effects for drinking coffee especially when it becomes so addictive you find it hard to go a day without it.

If you drink it occasionally if the coffee you drink is fresh and organic (regular coffee is treated with intensive amounts of pesticides) then there are several studies that show numerous health benefits related to drinking coffee like improving alertness, boosting physical performance and in the long term can lower the risk of Parkingson's disease, gallstones, kidney stones and even improve the function of the liver.

On the other hand, drinking coffee regularly has also been linked to increased risks of high cholesterol, osteoporosis and heart diseases.

Good quality organic coffee however is a good source of important Antioxidants like chlorogenic acid that can be helpful to regulate body fat. Green coffee extract is actually the latest trend in body fat reduction supplements.

Most of us however are having way more than occasional cup of coffee and the type we are choosing may not be high quality coffee.

Here are some proven side effects to drinking coffee you should be aware of.

1- Digestive Problems.

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach first thing in the morning stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid which the body produces to help in the digestion of meals. Frequent production of hydrochloric acid can be a problem because it should only be produced to digest meals, when your body produces it on empty stomach every time you consume coffee, it may later have difficulties producing enough to deal with larger meals.

Protein particularly requires sufficient amounts of hydrochloric acid to be properly digested, protein can pass through the small intestines without being completely broken down or digest. Undigested protein is associated with several health problems from bloating and gas to IBS and even colon cancer.
In fact poor digestion is related to several other health conditions and deficiencies, some scientists go as far as claiming that all diseases start in the gut. Having that in mind, you should limit anything that alters the proper way your guts function.

- Stomach Ulcers, IBS and Acidity.

Most of the compounds found in coffee like Caffeine and the many different acids can irritate the stomach and the lining of the intestines which worsen the situation in health conditions like stomach ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s disease and gastritis.
Doctors always recommend patients with these health conditions to stay away from coffee completely.
The question is, can excessive consumption of coffee contribute to the initiation of these health conditions in the first place?

Ulcers are believed to be caused by a type of bacteria know as H.pylori which naturally present in the stomach without any harm. The acidity of coffee can weaken the lining of the stomach which makes it easy for H.pylori to cause the infections and ulcers.

Drinking coffee can also irritate the small intestines, resulting in abnormal intestinal spasms and cramps which causes eliminating problems. This in turn cause alternating between periods of diarrhea and constipation which is known medically as irritable bowel syndrome IBS and more and more people are getting diagnosed with it nowadays.

-Heartburn and Acid Reflux.

Coffee causes the esophagus sphincter to relax and dilate which causes the common problem of heartburn associated with drinking coffee. This muscle should be tightly closed to prevent the content of your stomach from leaking up your esophagus and irritating the delicate lining of the esophagus, however compounds found in coffee as well as Coke and energy drinks cause this muscle to relax causing the acids in your stomach needed to digest food to leak up the esophagus and cause irritation and heartburn.

2- Laxative Properties.

Coffee can stimulate the process that makes us want to head to the toilet known as peristalses. Actually some people use it specifically for this quality. However by stimulating peristalses, coffee also seems to speed gastric emptying which is the process of emptying the stomach content into the small intestines before they have been completely broken down.
This partial digestion of food makes it too hard for the body to absorb all the nutrients found in food, it also increase the risk of gastrointestinal Inflammations.

3- Minerals Malabsorption.

People who regularly drink coffee may not have adequate levels of important minerals like iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium due to the way coffee alters the absorption of it in the stomach and the kidney's ability to retain important minerals like magnesium, zinc and calcium.

While all those minerals are important for the health, the digestive system especially is impacted when your body is not getting enough magnesium which is the case for most of us. Magnesium is essential for the regularity of the bowels yet many of us are deficient in it.

4- Carcinogenic Compounds in Coffee.

Acrylamide is a cancer causing substance that is found in coffee due to the roasting process in high temperatures. The darker the roast of your coffee is the higher the levels of acrylamide. Coffee is one of the richest sources of this chemical in the average American diet.

7 Serious Health Problems Drinking Soda Daily Causes.

1:41 PM 10 Comments

In 2015 scientists warned people from fizzy drinks, claiming that they cause the death of over 184.000 adults every year.
There are many obvious reasons why we should jeep fizzy drinks to a limit, loaded with sugar, too many added chemicals and no nutritional value at all, indeed, fizzy drinks will even fail to hydrate your body, they actually can dehydrate you if you are not drinking other liquids.
It is not only the 'ful-fat' version of fizzy drinks but also the diet sodas can cause your body several health problems.

1- Fizzy Drinks Can Cause Cancer.

There are many studies out there that have studied the link between several types of cancer and the regular consumption of fizzy drinks and the suggestions were:
. Only two soft drinks per week cause a significant increase in the insulin the pancreas is producing and can lead to pancreatic cancer.
. One can of soda a day can increase a man's risk of developing prostate cancer by 40 percent.
. In women regular consumption of soda can lead to breast cancer.
. Some chemicals used to colour the soda can cause cancer.

2- Sodas Increase The Risk Of Heart Diseases.

Scientists looked at the link between consuming foods laden with added sugar like sodas and death rates caused by cardiovascular diseases and the funding were, drinking three cans of soft drinks a day can triple one's risk of cardiovascular diseases.

3- Sodas Can Cause Diabetes.

It is proven that sugar-ladrn drinks contribute to the development of type-2 diabetes. Indeed a study conducted between 1990 and 2000 estimated that regular consumption of sweetened drinks contributed to the increase in diagnosed diabetes cases by 130.000 new cases.

4- Liver Damage.

A study conducted in 2009 found that drinking two cans of soda a day can increase the risk of fatty liver diseases and eventually to liver damage.

5- They Make Us More Violent.

A study that was monitoring teenagers found a relation between drinking fizzy drinks and violence. The study found that teenagers who drank only two cans of soda a week were more likely to be violent with friends and family and those who drank 5 cans a week were even more likely to be violent, smoking and drinking alcohol.

6- They Change the Chemicals in Your Brain.

Fizzy drinks don't only affect your body but also the chemicals and proteins in your brain causing you to become hyperactive and anxious.

7- Fizzy Drinks Up your Risk Of Alzheimer's.

A study found that mice fed with the equivalent of five cans of sodas per day had poorer memories and more brain deposits associated with Alzheimer's diseases than mice fed with a diet that doesn't contain any added sugar.
